Social justice is a process, not an outcome which seeks fair (re)distribution of resources, opportunities, and responsibilities; challenges the roots of oppression and injustice; empowers all people to exercise self-determination and realize their full potential; and builds social solidarity and community capacity for collaborative action.
As part of our support we ensure both our farmers and local farmers have access to good quality seed which produces a greater yield and minimises the need for artificial irrigation and therefore follows an organic growing model. This allows us to ensure quality control and a robust supply chain. As a result of this increased financial security the farmers are then able to provide an education for their children.
The chillies are harvested, sun-dried and are processed, packed and transported to Accra, Ghana before finally arriving in the UK. Once the dried chillies arrive in Scotland our team then work with our manufacturers to produce a range of products. (the Scoville scale rates them at 50000+).
We have invested in creating a select high quality range of chili products including Whisky BBQ-Chilli Sauce and a Whisky Chilli-Chocolate sauce. We have also created a range of seasonings which are infused with traditional Scottish salts, herbs and seaweed - a trend for food lovers and big part it plays on the family household.
We have combined these into a range of offerings from gift packs to specialised hampers which will appeal to any chilli lover looking to spice-up their culinary skills.
This means that two communities benefit whilst at the same time, you the buyer, experiences a high-quality brand with the knowledge of the positive impact your purchase has created.
Give your recipes a pleasant bite with our new chilli products!
